A Journey along the bridge

Advantages: A must see in San Francisco

...visit to the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge. A recent trip there confirms my believe that it is one of the most magnificent structure ever built. This is a synopsis of my recent visit. The bridge was completed in 1937 and from near its a bright red-orange. Its about 1.7 miles long. The bridge is supported by two large towers and tons of cables. Standing at the foot of the bridge, and looking up, you could feel the enormity of the entire structure. ...

Forgetting the pollution emitted from the vehicles travelling on the bridge, the view of the hills, the ocean and the ships streaming in and out of the river brings a sense of peacefulness into one's consciousness. Review of Golden Gate Bridge

~~A nonstop singular singing-dancing sensation~~

Advantages: A remake and inspirational production
Disadvantages: Nothing except that it is not showing in West End

Review of A Chorus Line

An amazing island

Advantages: great audio tour
Disadvantages: might be scary/spooky for some

I visited Alcatraz whilst in San Francisco on a recent round the world trip. To be honest I had heard of Alcatraz but didn't really know anything about it. We were advised by my friend that we should by our tickets in advance for the island and so we went in person and bought tickets for the following day. This was fine for us as we were there in March, however for those visiting in the summer months I recommend booking online as far in advance ...
...some more basic information about Alcatraz which kind of set the scene and put it in context so to speak. This was definately worth seeing, I think it shows regularly throughout the day. After this you collect your audio guide, which is included in the ticket price and it has to be one of the best audio tours I have done. Review of Alcatraz Island

San Francisco's Crookedist Street.

Advantages: Lombard Street is a Beautiful sight to behold
Disadvantages: You can only drive down it. Try walking UP!!!

Lombard Street has got to be San Francisco's craziest Street. It is great to walk up, if you have the muscles to do it, but even funnier walking back down. This street is famous world wide being known for its twists and turns. Down either side are planted masses of beautiful flowers. Hydrangers mostly. Always kept neat and tidy, the street is not just for show, cars drive down it all the time. They do not permit drivers to drive up the hill though. ...

Quick tour of San Francisco!

Advantages: Got to see alot in a short space of time
Disadvantages: Slightly expensive. Mostly on the bus
