Advantages: Friendly staff, lovely pool, clean room Disadvantages: Dynamic currency conversion on our room costs paid by debit card
...We chose to visit the Holiday Inn Alicante Playa de San Juan for a week in July after having three very pleasant stays in Express by Holiday Inns in the UK. We were not sure what to expect in terms of quality, however it was probably one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in.
The cost was ?94 per night for an en suite room with king size bed and an ?almost double? sofa bed. The room was on the third floor of the hotel and had a view of another apartment block to the rear of the hotel. However, this did not cause any problems as the apartments were quite a distance from the hotel, therefore not blocking the panoramic view.
THE HOTEL
The hotel building is over 7 floors: the ground floor, floors 1 to 5 and a floor called '-1'. If you are given a room on the '-1' floor, don't think that they are shoving you in...

...If there's one thing I looked forward to all year, its a summer holiday. We try out best to make sure we go away every summer, and to date we haven't had very many bad experiences with the hotels we have picked.
Last year, our choice of Holiday was to Tenerife. We booked our holiday at the very last minute. We were due to fly on July 6th, and at the beginning of April, we went into the travel agents and booked.
Our choice of hotel, was the Iberostar Torviscas Playa, Costa Adeje, Tenerife.

Travel Agents Recommendation/Booking.
We started browsing through brochures and searching online for a summer holiday in around January. We came to the agreement that Tenerife would be our choice of hotel. We studied the prices in the brochures and haggled online, however although the offers online looked very good value for money, we...

Advantages: it has totally transformed how my hair looks and feels Disadvantages: it is more expensive than other shampoos
...Years of perming, colouring and generally abusing my hair has left it frizzy and a total nightmare to control or style. Sent like a gift from the gods, Sebastian Laminates Shampoo is designed to help keep frizzy or dry hair under control and I am really pleased that it was recommended to me. So much so I wanted to share my experiences. Even though it is much more expensive than other regular shampoo and conditioners at £10 for 250ml I found that it lasts just that little bit longer than other shampoos because I only need a little amount to wash my hair which is currently down to my shoulders in length.
When I use other brands, after washing my hair goes really dry and feels almost brittle to the touch. Some would call it straw hair. Using Sebastian Laminates Shampoo won't see dramatically different results over the short term, but two...
