Sandford holiday park has to be without a doubt the worst site that i have ever encountered. The toilet facilities are notably poor and dirty. There is usually insufficient hot water for the numbers of guests. There are two shower blocks with consist a total of sixteen showers which in peak months have to cope with up to 2000 guests, work out that for yourself!! I found the level of hygiene completely unacceptable and would honestly not wash my dog in them. The staff were aloof and when spoken to the management were disinterested and told me to write in because they could not deal with complaints. The campsite itself was a pleasant area in parts but also housed smelly riding stables and a rubbish tip for the holiday camp. Many guests were complaining of these issues. The swimming pools are clean but also show a lot of wear and tear, the changing rooms suffer from the same lack of hygiene as the toilets and showers. The entertainment provided is generally good but the venues again are old and worn and have insufficient seating for the number of guests. There is no air conditioning and it becomes unbearable after very short lengths of time. At night the campsite is plagued by gangs of drunk teenagers until 3 or 4 am, again when this was put to the management it was blamed on local youths, there is no security to prevent anyone from coming into Sandford Park. Because of the noise and cleanliness issues I would not recommend this park for families or indeed anyone else. This park claims to be family run, however the family that owns this park also own three others and live miles away, this park is a goldmine for them and is run in a maximum profit/minimum expenditure fashion
