During my recent trip to Greece I had the pleasure of visiting Santorini. At first sight when you enter the bay area you are surrounded by huge cliffs of volcanic matter with a central island(actually a still active volcano). I was taken in at once by the islands' superbly natural wild beauty. Whilst on the island I stayed in the main town of Thira, and was enchanted by the numerous cobbled narrow streets enclosing hundreds of restaurants, cafes and bars, all set at the edge of the cliff. The sunset at Ioa was incredible....
A must for any island hopper....
