Nice holiday in Sardinia

Advantages: serious, easy to use, no agency fees
Disadvantages: little bit expensive but the quality must be paid

I love self-made travels but to manage them i always need serious internet operators because i have to chose and book accomodations, cars and ferry tickets. I've found recently a good local specialist for Sardinia. I've apreciated its site: simply to use, with complete information, good pictures and a easy email booking process. I've booked for myself an hotel and an holiday car and i had a very nice holiday. The hotel was consistent with the internet ...

a beautiful place for all...

Advantages: beautiful veiws, and great pizza...
Disadvantages: you will never want to leave...

The best and cheapest way i found getting to this destination, is through ryanair, which takes you to Fertillia airport. We stayed in one of the many B and B's, this great place has to offer. The resort itself is beautiful seaside city, with postcard veiws on every corner in the old town. Once there you will find lots of things to do, wether it be a casual walk along the harbour, a drink or two in the gorgeous old town, or just chill out on the beach ...
...are friendly and welcoming. I found the prices of food and drink, quite average, it is worth having a good look round. Me and my wife found the bars on the side streets were far cheaper than on the front. As for places to eat, there are many restaurants offering a wide range of food, suitable for all ages and tastes. We had an amazing meal at the Nettuno restaurant, which overlooks the harbour in the old town, part pizzeria part restaurant. The prices ...

Haven't you already planned your Vacation?

Advantages: clean, gentle landlord, beautiful beaches and sea
Disadvantages: no towels and sheets, hal a mile from the sea

...forget in your life! Sardinia is the most beautiful Italian island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, with marvellous beaches, pine woods and crystal clear waters that you have never seen before. Get a fantastic flat in Budoni, situated in the north-east cost, near the best beaches, Costa Smaralda’s night life with glamour clubs and farms restaurants where taste lovely and typical local food. I stayed in accommodations, part of residential blocks ...
...to 850 per week whole property. the Land Lord is very kind, and the flat are very clean! I pass every holiday here! How to get The best way is: Fly with Easyjet from London Gatwick Airport to Olbia Airport. Rent a car and take the motorway SS131 to Budoni ( about 35 km = 22 miles) so you will have the possibility to visit in total freedom the huge island. By Bus from Olbia Airport to Budoni , 5€ one way. see the flat at this web site: holiday@sardegna-affitti.it ...

Flamingo Flamenco

Advantages: a change from lying on the beach, the archeological museum , flamingos, St. Efisio
Disadvantages: some architectural sins

...I'm trying to see Cagliari (for you: Cá-lee-a-ree, stress on the first syllable), the capital of Sardinia, with the eyes of a tourist, not an easy task for me considering the fact that it has been the place where to visit in-laws for yonks. If you happen to be on the island in July or August, don't even think of visiting Cagliari unless the weather forecast promises a chilly spell (which is not very likely) or you're a mad dog or likewise Englishman. ...
...so that you can reach Cagliari still in the morning. I'd advise you to drive straight up to the old part of the city called Castello (Castle) from where you have a fine view of the gulf, the city and the harbour. Looking at the favourable geographical position between the sea and a fertile plain and a mountain range not too far away (to which people could evacuate if attacked from the sea) it's understandable that the site has been inhabited since ...

Punta Negra - great for a relaxing break

Advantages: Relaxing, nice pool area and beach, shuttle bus to Alghero.
Disadvantages: Hotel drinks quite expensive, pool water was very chlorinated.

I chose to go to Alghero, Sardinia after looking at Ryan Air's fly for a penny (+tax and charges which were low) site. I also wanted somewhere which will still have good weather in October. We were lucky because it was very hot for four of the five days we stayed. The Punta Negra hotel is just a short ride from the airport and cost about 20 euros by Taxi, the people behind us in the taxi queue were also going to the same hotel (realised only when ...
...one wants to share a taxi. We ate at the hotel that night as we arrived quite late and it was very dark and we did not know what dining options were in the local area. The hotel meal was a set 4 course menu. I wasn't too keen on the food or the restaurant and it seemed quite rushed. We ate out for our other meals. Breakfast was nice but simple, there was fruit, rolls with ham and cheese and cakes and biscuits. In Fertilia there is a pizza restaurant ...
