We booked this through lastminute.com after searching for hours for hotels on internet, and what a great choice! The hotel itself is well decorated think it has recently been refurbished with great facilities. It has free internet access in the reception area, buffet breakfast has everythin cereal, all 3 types of milk, bread, cheese, salami, fruit, tea, coffee. The staff at reception are more than happy to help with any enquiry you may have. The restaurant on the main floor appreared to be nice although didnt eat in there, the prices were in keeping with the rest of Norway!! The night we arrived it appeared that one of the function rooms had been hired so there were alot of people around, however the lifts and stairs cannot be used without a key card which ensures people not staying at the hotel cannot go up to the rooms. The rooms are modern with woodern flooring and heated flooring in the bathroom. There is a TV with some english channels with Norwegien subtitles, and pay per view fils at 139kr for 24 hours. The room has a fridge with a mini bar although as you expect from a hotel the prices are slightly more than in a pub, which in Norway is expensive. The wine in the room was 139kr for 1/2 bottle. People were buying drink in the airport proir to arrival to combat this problem! The only thing the room doesnt have is tea and coffe making facilities, however I dont know if we were meant to use this machine but to the left of reception past the lift there was a tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities but no milk available. There was also a water cooler. The hotel has a sauna, gym and solarium but we did not use these facilities. The city was about a 10 min walk away and the royal palace was bout 5 mins away which had we not stayed at this hotel we would not have seen most probably! We were a bit aprehensive about booking a hotel near to a park, but how wrong we were! The hotel is to the left of the park which took us a while to locate but once we had realised it wasnt to the right of the park it was easy to find!!!!! Overall great hotel for the money!!! would def stay again!
