Not a lot of people will know this but a coffee tamper is an essential piece of equipment to make a good espresso, and a good espresso will lead to a great cup of Cappuccino, Latte and Mocha.
First you need a roaster to roast the green coffee beans, that's right coffee beans are green before they are roasted. The fresher the beans the better the coffee and you can not get any fresher than roasting your own.
Second comes the grinder and no ordinary grinder it has to be a burr grinder as no other will do. Coffee looses its quality within hours of grinding so best to grind just before making the espresso.
Fourth you need the 15bar pump driven coffee machine this pushes the water through the ground coffee at high-pressure and for the perfect espresso the water should take between 23 and 27 seconds ...

As some of you know I'm from Finland and from Tampere or Manse as we locals say. Funny I still see myself as local even I haven't live there for last? (God) nearly 10 years. As most of Finnish cities Tampere got its Swedish name as well, it Tammerfors.
