Advantages: Near to city centre, borders 2 acre park, shuttle bus services Disadvantages: Bar closes a little early
...We contacted the hotel before hand to arrange a free shuttle bus service provided by the hotel to pick us up, which was there on time and well serviced.
During the short 20 mins drive to the hotel the driver advised us about all the things that were able to us and even took a short detour to show us where things were located so we felt comfterable straight away.
Check in process was smooth and easy, and the first glances of the hotel did not dissapoint. The hotel is set in its own mantained gardens, including rose, vegeatable, indegious and many more which made it look very scenic. The rooms were big and clean, and the all important mattress was extemly comfortable. The bathroom was of a good size and had all the mod cons you can expect including a heated mirror.
The staff were extemly helpful, in both queries and tips and it made...

- The TranzCoastal, which takes just under five...

Advantages: Well located, quiet, comfortable, clean, excellent service, Disadvantages: breakfast time in the restaurant a little hectic
...We used this excellent hotel on two occasions at either end of our journey around South island.
Staying at the recently refurbished Elms Hotel on Papanui Road (their claim that "Nothing is too much trouble" we certainly found to be true!) was a pleasure.
Reception staff offered a warm welcome, and a great willingness to assist us in finalising and resolving problems with our travel arrangements.Free secure storage was kindly provided for two exceedingly large pieces of luggage that we did not require for our 10 days moving around South Island.
The hotel is very handily placed more or less midway between the international airport and the centre of Christchurch itself. The airport to hotel transfer by a member of the hotel staff was prompt and efficient.Further the hotel lies on 3 main bus routes offering a frequent service -a very...

I have gone through all of Jodi Picoult's books in a complete craze of insanity, I read one and I loved it, I read two and I've been hooked ever since. Personally I believe that this is one of Picoult's better works, but equally I love (nearly) all her... more
