Just back from an excellent 6 months in various S.E. Asian countries and I'm now passing the time until I head up to Durham to read English. Into music, going out, football and reading.

The idea of this place is that you dress up in your old school clothes, go down to the happening place that is Vauxhall and 'bop' to some old favourites on a Saturday night. They've even got old CBBC man Toby Anstis on the decks.
A pretty original idea I must agree, but once over the initial fun of it all, I have to say this didn't quite hit the spot.
While it's one of the few places in London where the people there are almost entirely under 26 and it's great fun getting dressed up in your old school stuff, the novelty does wear off.
I ended up leaving early because I realised that if you're under 20 many of the songs will go straight over your head. It's great when a song comes on that you do remember, but there's nothing worse than an 'oldie' song that you've never heard before. After all they're only good now because of that nostalgia factor - when that's not there, you're in trouble.
Another problem is that, while the place is simply *packed* with people - and amazingly it's practically a 50/50 mix - it became clear that a lot of the people there were couples with the male half no doubt eager to see their girlfriend in some sweaty school gear!
I am assured, however, that it's been much better other nights so perhaps I've just had a bad experience.
Overall, then, worth a look for the novelty value (and it IS great fun at times) but just don't expect too much.
