Super

Pro Cheap, mostly reliable transport, on time.

Cons Variable rates, passenger comfort

Hi, this is a review of my many various experiences on citylink buses. To start with, i would say that the company mostly arrives and delivers you to your destination....i have taken around 20+ journeys, from glasgow to edinburgh, inverness, aberdeen, etc, and have never found myself late, quite...

Not for me

Prona

ConsNo acceptance of responsiblity, reactive handling ...

I recently bought a ticket to travel from Edinburgh to Stirling. I was waiting at the stop and saw the coach pull up, a plain white coach with a handwritten service number on a piece of card in the windscreen. The coach driver waited for a short time behind another Citylink coach which was at the...

Excellent

ProPunctual; friendly, helpful staff

ConsAdviseable to book in advance

Scottish Citylink operate most of the long distance coach routes in Scotland, many of which also double as local bus services with passengers allowed to purchase tickets on board. This can present a problem - more of which below. As far as comfort goes, a coach is a coach and these are no better...

Not for me

Prothey do a bus service to t in the park

Consthey're useless at dispatching tickets

City link buses... when it comes to ticket delivery, they like to cut it shorter than a disgraced celebrity in a Gillet advert. I booked a bus with city link to get from edinburgh to the T in the park festival... but as the days grew nearer to the event, it became apparent that the only thing...

ProFantastic Customer service

ConsNone

I can not believe the amazing customer service I recieved. I was travelling to Inverness - changed at Perth and unfortunatley left my mobile phone on the MegaBus. Lucky for me - it was handed it to the driver and passed on to Ross at CityLink in Dundee. They text my other half who had happened to...

Satisfactory

ProGeneral punctuality

ConsPoor customer care/support

Timetables and ticketing can be confusing but Citylink is reasonably reliable and punctual even in adverse conditions. However, as a fifteen year-plus customer I think the main problem is staff attitude which has never been great but seems to have become gradually worse. Many are naturally fine...

Provery punctual service

Consticket prices can be astronomical at times

I have used Scottish Citylink for twenty years. In that period i have never known the bus to be late. If you are on time, you can be sure the bus will be. However, on a number of occasions i have found the toilet to be out of use. I think that this is deplorable on a journey that will take six...
