ENTER THIS UNDERSEA WORLD AT YOUR PERIL!

Advantages: Sea Life in all colours, shapes & sizes. Historic building. Unique atmosphere.
Disadvantages: Very expensive. Building needs internal updating. Dangerous floors.

Please accept my sincerest apologies for this one hitting the stands just as the children return to school, but for our own personal enjoyment of this particular attraction, that is just the way we like it - quiet!

Do not be fooled, I have nothing against children, indeed on my very first visit to the Dolphinarium as it was then, I was one myself! On that occasion I had the pleasure of seeing the dolphins sing 'happy birthday' to some ...
...I remember nothing of the place from the late 1960's primary school trip.

We live in a different age now, performing dolphins being about as politically non-PC as you can get! Sorry, I am aware that for some of you that was an offensive remark, it was not intended that way, I just wanted to highlight by use of (dubious) humour just how much times have changed since my childhood. In terms of nature conservancy we now live in far more ... more

Sea Life Centre Brighton

Advantages: educational, fascinating and quite wonderful day out
Disadvantages: nothing

On a recent visit to the South Coast, we popped in to see my Sister, took her kids off her hands for the day and headed for Brighton. Maybe it was just an excuse to indulge myself “Well we’ve got to amuse the children”, but I’d always wanted to visit one of the Sea-Life Centres, but had never got around to it. I’ve always been fascinated by the under sea world and can remember avidly viewing things like Jacques Cousteau on TV and other Natural History programmes on underwater life. So the opportunity arose to visit Brighton’s Sea-Life centre with three young nephews and in any case – it was raining outside so we had nowhere else to go! It really is a joy to visit one of these places. A joy for me as an adult, but also to see the faces of the kids and hear their enthusiasm. The Sea-Life ...

The Royal Albion Hotel, Brighton

Advantages: great location, cheap, nice rooms, excellent food
Disadvantages: no parking, quite dated

hotel I was very impressed by the Royal Albion. Bars and Restaurants in the hotel: Jenny's Restaurant - serves a large selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a nice view facing the pier and the beach. Pavilion Bar - again looks over the beach and serves a selection of drinks at a reasonable price. Sun Terrace - for sunnier days in the summer, has chairs and sun beds to sit on and get a nice tan. Attractions just a few minutes away: Hove cricket ground, home of Sussex CC The withdean stadium, home of Brighton FC Theatre Royal Sea-life centre Royal pavilion The 'Lanes' shopping Hove museum and art gallery Candy castle Brighton toy and model museum Brighton racecourse Brighton pier Brighton marina ...

Booked On The Tennertastic Offer

Advantages: Cheap, Quiet, Friendly
Disadvantages: Basic, All the lodges are the same

have children, Brighton is around 27 miles and there you have things like Palace Pier, The Sea Life Centre, A big shopping centre. Once in Brighton it?s all in walking distance. Arundel is only a few miles away and we always go there to feed the ducks. It?s a very small town, there is also a castle which is very interesting too look around. If you wanted to check out the website its www.travellodge.co.uk Hopefully others will get a great bargin like we did. Thanks for reading my review ...
