Advantages: Lots of places to shop, indoors or outdoors! (and nice Waffles!) Disadvantages: The usual disadvantages of London (pickpockets, traffic, crowded, etc.)
...I've been to Covent Garden a couple of times, once a few years ago and once a few days ago, and I am still yet to have explored all of it! Not only is there the huge marketplace but it is also surrounded by lots of other shops too.
The famous market area is covered with a roof and home to lots and lots of stalls selling cheap clothes, jewellery, accessories etc. - lots of very low prices, especially considering this is bang in the middle of London, one of the priciest cities in Britain. Although, sometimes the prices are cheap because the products are cheap... but look carefully and you may find stuff that's actually worth buying and comes at a bargain price.

HOW TO GET THERE.
On the south bank of the Thames near to Richmond is a 300 acre site that is home to Kew Gardens A205 passes the main gate of Kew Gardens and Kew Road A307 gives access to Victoria Gate. Kew encourages visitors to use public transport because of the limited parking and also it is better for the environment. Bicycle racks are located at Victoria and Main Gates although left at the owners risk and not allowed within the gardens. Several buses go directly to Kew or to either of the two railway stations, Kew Bridge and Kew Gardens. Buses 65, 237 and 391
A 300 space car park is available...

...past the house. I think of what it would have looked like here centuries ago when galloping horses and carriages would have hurtled past on return to the stable yard (now the aquarium).
Moments later my historic daydream is halted when the gardens come into view. The first impressive sight is of the Great Conservatory, built by the 3rd Duke of Northumberland, nearly 200 years ago. I can easily picture aristocratic ladies sipping tea and sewing tapestries as they carefully keep their skin free of a peasant-like tan. These days, instead of elegant ladies in long dresses, it is peacocks preening and showing their feathers while they strut the roofs, gazing down haughtily at the lower mortals below.

This is a well known classic, which I had never seen, but always thought I should!! It didn't disappoint as it was a well thought out screen version of Williams' play.

This perfume is made with extracts of sandalwood, peony petals and everlasting (whatever that is!) and as such is has a lovely natural smell, not like the synthetic scents that some perfumes can have. It's smell is clean and refreshing, not sweet or... more
I am not sure how I came upon this book in the first place, but I am very glad that I did! The Gardens of the Moon starts out as quite a confusing book, mainly because there are several main characters and very little information is given regarding... more
