...there are quite a few Senor Frogs Merchandise/Souvineer shops dotted all around Cancun, we went into one of them and its just t-shirts, keyrings, towels and the likes so if your into that kind of thing I recommen checking them out.

With daily live music, DJs, contests and karaoke, this bar is always going until the early morning hours. And if that's not enough, there's even a water slide that leads from the venue out to the lagoon. So don't forget your bathing suit.

All I can say is we went at night time so although the opening hours above state that there is a restaurant until 3am we did not see anyone having anything to eat and did not order any food ourselves, we didn’t even actually see any food menus, so therefore cannot comment on the quality of this.

I will say that this place is fun, you don’t pay a cover to get in like most bars in Cancun, but apparently they do some special nights with open bar at a cost of $25 per person which is actually quite excellent.

The place wasn’t too busy when we got there, but by Mexico standards we were quite early, but as the night progressed more and more people arrived and the music was blaring.

The drinks in this place are HUGE and I mean HUGE….there are various sizes to choose from but all of them are big and we all settled on the yard drinks (yanno the kind that people have at parties to fill with beer and see who can chug it all in one go). We were thinking yay these will last us ages….haha how silly are we, the more you have the more you drink and oh my god did they make yummy strawberry daquiris, although I will admit that there were a few ice-cream headaches between me and my friend lol. Apparently you can keep your huge yard drinking glass, which is techincally made out of plastic, unfortunately they do not tell you that when you order drinks, we only noticed the next day when we saw people in our hotel with them and they informed us of this, such a shame as I would of liked to keep one of these!

It can be quite expensive since its not a open bar, a round of 4 drinks was nearly $50 but on the basis of the size it probably works out about right.

They have mini competitions/games here where they will ask for volunteers and put them into two teams and they then have to do random drinking games, such as a drinking relay race to see which team could drink the huge drinks the fastest….going in order one by one of course, the great thing about this is that the alcohol you get is free and the winners also get free shots and such….there might of even free merchandise on offer as well….and the losers they also have a choice of showing boobs (yes men or women), chugging a full huge ass beer or….wait for it…..going down the waterslide!!! Yea can you believe it this bar actually has its very own water slide that takes you right out into the Lagoon…..though we didn’t fancy it much having heard that the lagoon is home to some corcodiles (yea cant be that bad I know since the kids play in the lagoon everyday but we were on our hols and didn’t wanna have to risk needing to use our insurance lol). So you get the picture, everything is fun and everything is drink related!

They also have dancing and if you’re a woman there is no escape and I don’t mean dancing where you stand, the barmen actually go around and get all the women on the stage….well one woman per barman and dance with them….proper dancing to which isn’t so easy when your drunk, salsa and the like, which didn’t bother me too much since I have done some salsa classes woohoo!

Another fun thing for women in this bar is the harness thingy…okay ill explain (I have also included pictures). They ask for volunteers and as no one wanted to I thought im on holiday why the hell not. So I have to get up onto the bar and they take my shoes off and attach a harness around my ankles….the next thing I know I’m upside down and they are giving me a shot through a straw…yummy believe me but upside down very hard to swallow!! They then tell me to keep my hand behind my head at all times….everyone moves away and I get spun round and round soooo fast its super dizzy business and then they start spraying dry ice to confuse me even more and just when I think it going to stop the thing starts spinning me in the opposite direction!! All I have to say it wow fun? Totally!! I loved it and wanted another go, but you’re only allowed to do it once boo!!

Yes it was fun but its also so they can all get a good look at the women in skirts….or more so at their panties…and yes I had a skirt on but I didn’t know any of these people and would never see them again so it was okay! I will warn you though if you do decide to do this when they are lowering you back down onto the bar they do it all jumpy like, which in turn makes your butt jiggle a lot so if your paranoid about your booty then this isn’t for you lol.

There is a nice wee smoking area at this bar, it decking out the bar and looks out over the lagoon, very pretty. I don’t recall there being any air conditioning in this bar though which isn’t so good because the more you drink the warmer you get and considering its already really humid and sticky at night in Mexico more heat just isn’t fun!

The toilets are upstairs and are clean enough but this is mainly due to the fact that there is of course, as per usual, a toilet attendant, who hands you paper towels to dry your hands and has her little tip jar nicely located beside the sinks where you can’t fail to see it and pop a dollar into.

The music here is okay, it seems very Americanised just like the rest of Mexico and seems to play the same songs as every other bar and nightclub so it can get a bit annoying and repetitive after a while….seriously I think the whole of Mexican nightclubs and bars have a deal of some sort where they can only play the same 10 songs over and over and over again….every time I hear “tonight’s gonna be such a good good night” I’m reminded of my drunken times in Cancun lol.

All in all this is a good night out but can end up very expensive as there is no open bar, so make sure to take plenty of cash with you….always leave bank cards in your hotel safe because you never know how much of a drunken state you’ll end up in, especially if you join in with all the fun and games….oh and one more thing leave your prudish morals and red cheeks of embarrassment at the door because there is simply just no room for them here and everybody will be friends with everybody by the end of the night!

Although this place is completely nuts at night time and I mean that in a good way, it is apparently supposed to be very good during the day time for food and is very family friendly so don’t be put off going for a day time meal just because of the night time antics.
