Advantages Reasonably priced accommodation with some good features. Cyprus is a lovely island.
Disadvantages Not of a four star standard, in my opinion.
My holiday, to me, is a real luxury. I love to be in different country, different surroundings. A holiday means, to us as a family, that we have two weeks of freedom from work, school, studying, housework and the mundane. Of course, the sunshine helps and I feel as if I’m soaking up the weather, blue skies and the wonderful feeling of liberty before the British winter sets in.
This year I spent my summer holidays on the lovely Mediterranean island of Cyprus. This was the fourth time I had been to Cyprus, twice to Protaras, and this would be the second time of holidaying in the resort of Paphos.
I think, for a family holiday, I slightly prefer Protaras as a resort as, if staying in or near the resort centre there is much to do for all ages. Also the beaches are generally better on that side of the island. However, I prefer Paphos airport to Larnaka, and the transfers are generally shorter to Paphos hotels than those in Protaras.
All travel went exceptionally well and we arrived at the hotel one Saturday in August at about three o’clock in the afternoon (Cyprus time). The previous two hotels we had stayed in in Cyprus had also been four star but they were superior to this one in quite a few ways.
