Visit the Orchid Garden!

Advantages: Nice to visit, pretty, shady
Disadvantages: Quite small

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Orchid Garden Review * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Recently I visited Tenerife for almost two weeks and this is another review of somewhere I visited. Another Tenerife review I have written is on Loro Parque and is quite a good review in my opinion! Anyway today I am going to review the Orchid Gardens. While in Tenerife recently I visited the Orchid Gardens in Puerto de la Cruz. The garden was just up the road from the hotel I stayed in which is the Casablanca and probably took about 3 minutes to walk to from there! The orchid garden is a really interesting place to visit but it seemed to be very quiet ?although apparently it is busier in the winter! This is a shame as the gardens are a really nice place just to be in and relax and should be enjoyed by more people and I wish that more ...

MAGICAL SENTOSA

Advantages: Lots to Do and See
Disadvantages: All the little cover charges mount up

I have decided to write another review after all this time. Please be gentle with me. I have been lucky enough to visit Singapore on four occasions and each time we always make time to visit Sentosa and I would like to share with you why. How to get there Sentosa is approximately 15 minutes away from the city and 25 minutes from Changi International Airport. There are five different ways to get there 1 ---- Walk in via the Causeway bridge this costs 6S$ for adults and 4S$ for children. 2 --- By bus from the ticketing arrivals centre this costs 7S$ for adults and 5S$ for children 3 --- By Ferry from the ferry terminal costs 8.30S$ for adults and 6S$ for children 4 --- By cable car not for the faint hearted from Mt Faber tickets approx 14S$ and 7S$ for children 5 ---Taxi this is how we approached it and had a voucher supplied by ...

Review of Sentosa Island (Singapore)

Sentosa and hidden suprise

Advantages: Plenty to see and do, great for the whole family, Easy to get around the island
Disadvantages: Prices for individual attractions on top of the entry onto Sentosa

After deliberating on where to go for my annual holiday I came across a cheap option to go to Singapore, given that they had just suffered with SARS I was keen to go at such a low price and I managed to get in touch with a lot of the tourist sites before travelling who provided me with a great deal of information, maps and reduced entry fees. What is Sentosa? Sentosa used to be known as an old fishing village called Pulau Blakang Mati before becoming a British Military fortress up until 1967, after this the government then decided to change it into an Island for tourists, Sentosa means peace and tranquility in Malay. Today, Sentosa is Singapore's premier island resort getaway with events all year round. Just 15 minutes from the city, it is a unique blend of leisure and recreational facilities including family attractions, sea ...
