Caceres is the town where I live. It is a small town but it has got a lot of things, museums and churches to visit, cinemas and leisure centres to have fun, gardens and nice streets to walk, shops to buy from clothes to presents....
SITUATION AND SOME INFORMATION
I will start by the beginning. Caceres is situated in Extremadura, in the south-west of Spain. It has got nearly 100.000 inhabitants. It limits with Salamanca and Avila in the north, Toledo in the east, Badajoz in the south and Portugal in the west. It is a medium-small town, you can go walking to the centre if you live in the outskirts of the city, it takes about half an hour aproximately.

Having written a review on the city I am currently living in, I felt I owned one review to the city I previously lived in. So I?ll give you an insight of the city where the famous Sadieblackeyes lived and studied for 5 years! ; )
CACERES is situated in the county of EXTREMADURA, in the South-West of Spain. EXTREMADURA consists of two provinces, CACERES and BADAJOZ (the latter being the name of Sadie?s hometown). Caceres is the capital of the province of Caceres (rather obvious eh!?)
It is 300 kms west of Madrid, capital city of Spain, and it is also 300 kms East of Lisbon, capital city of Portugal. Most Spaniards don?t realize 'how close' Portugal is from Spain and they get shocked when they find out that it takes the same amount of time to go to Madrid and to go to Lisbon from Caceres...o0 (free rambling thought sponsored by ...

Introduction ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I travelled to Cáceres, Spain in February this year to stay with a Spanish family for ten days. The trip was organised by my school jointly with the nearby girls school. I had also gone on the same trip the previous year, found it extremely beneficial to my Spanish so I decided to go again. We travelled by coach and plane and the drive from Madrid Airport to Cáceres took a very long four hours.
Here is a part of my diary of my excellent time on a Spanish Exchange, to the Spanish town of Cáceres, in Extremadura, Spain. I would recommend to anyone hoping to improve their Spanish. As well as educational it was also extremely enjoyable.
