Great apartments in Puerto Del Carmen

Advantages: Clean, friendly apartments
Disadvantages: Steep hills

We stayed in these apartments in late Septemder and thiught they were great. They are in the centre of Puerto del Carmen and are rally close to the beach just 200 metres and the main strip of bars, pubs and restaurants. There are supermarkets located at each end of the street. Use the hill beside the spar as it is not as steep as the one on the left which they call cadiac hill. The apartments we stayed in were opposite reception they are 1 and 2 storied in three different locations - oppsite reception and pool and to either side of the pool. The apartments are spacious and have large a living/kitchen area, bathroom and bedroom. There is a tv in the room with some English Channels however you can pay at reception to get more channels like movies. We found them extremely clean and the maid cleaned every day. Groundhog Day in San Antonio

Advantages: Great city, plenty to do, see and eat
Disadvantages: Go in season

Remember the Alamo? Your not kidding, I couldn?t forget it. I walked past it at the same time every morning and night for a week - and a couple of times more for good measure. Not that I should, or want, to paint San Antonio in a bad picture - far from it, its my favourite North American city. Its just a week is perhaps a little too long off season. I will explain. We decided to take our trip to the States (a week in San Antonio for sightseeing and then a few days in Florida to top up the tan) for the first week in November. The reason - the flights are miles cheaper than October. The reason for this - most America's tourism seems to shut down on the night of October the 31st. I would love for the sake of my hands and your eyes to make this a quick review but this just wouldn?t do San Antonio justice - so lets crack on in with this ...

San Antonio Hotel - A Touch of Class

Advantages: Offers something for all age groups
Disadvantages: Out of centre of town

This hotel is of an excellent standard. I work in the travel industry so would say I have very high standards. The decor of the hotel is of a very high standard and the service is second to none. This hotel deserves the 5* rating I have given it. It has entertainment to suit all age groups and you can be as busy or quiet as you want to. I would return to this property again without any hesitation. The pool area is very large and appealing. More than adequant sun loungers for guests. The food is of a very high standard and I found it catered for all tastes. You could eat plainly or really let your taste buds run wild. It is ideal as a family or couple. It is set at the quieter (and in my opinion, nicer) end of puerto Del Carmen were you find nice coves for bathing. It is also very easy to get in and out of the main centre of the resort. ...
