Advantages: Variety! Beaches, food, people - Greece! Disadvantages: Very hot. Remembering HOW to deal with loo paper
After experiencing another UK Summer, I was inspired to head for Mykonos! I was somewhat intimidated since Mykonos has a reputation for being a young person's place.
I flew EasyJet from Luton UK airport (my favourite airport) to Athens. It is a no-frills airline but even parking is simple (you can book it at the same time as you do your flight) and the airport is easy to get into and back out of! Then I transfered to Olympic for the flight to Mykonos. You can also take a ferry, instead, but it is about 5 or 6 hours on the ferry, versus less than an hour to fly there. And I wanted to hit the beach!
A friend's daughter was working at a nearby resort, so she found me a place to stay and it was unique! It was a traditional Greek cube style cottage, which had been carved into a hillside, so the interior had not only a stone floor ...

Advantages: Familiarises children with the concept of numbers, along with singing to familiar Sesame Street songs Disadvantages: Keep parents away children, you may not get a look in! *8)
I don't know about you, but I am big on nostalgia. Anything that reminds me of happy-go-lucky, mortgage-free days is ok by me. That's why I had a child- I can relive all those days! ;) Now Sesame Street formed the world for me at a young age. It's gone downhill since then though- I remember being able to speak a *lot* more Spanish when I was younger! *laugh* . That aside, when I saw this product in my local Virgin I just *had* to get it!
First the stats.....this game is for kiddies from 3 up. It can be used by children younger than that, as it is very simple to use, but three is in my opinion the way to go.. The child can negotiate such wonders as the count's castle (one ha-haaaaaa, two ha-haaaaa), Ernie and Bert's house, and Big Bird's nest. It is 'compared' by Elmo, which was the major plus as far as my son was concerned ...
Advantages: Quick nibble to satisfy sweet tooth Disadvantages: Not filling!
