Advantages: great bars and tourist attractions Disadvantages: too hot in summer
.... There are certainly enough bars to get around - you wont get bored. Everyone tends to recommend 'La Carbonneria'. The regulars are largely international - its a little on the touristy side. They always have a little live music - whether its a band or just someone playing on the piano, so the atmostphere is great. If your budget is tight, stick to bars where there are plenty of locals - drinks and tapas will be much more reasonable. Before you leave you also have to see some flamenco - Seville's fantastic reputation for this dance is well-deserved.
Tourist attractions:
The Cathedral and its tower, the Alcazar are stunning. Entrance fees are resonable, and its free on Sundays. Be prepared for a long, hot walk to get to the top of the tower - it's a hell of a long way up! For the view, its really worth it - on a clear day you get to see the whole...

Advantages: Breath-takingly beautiful, happy atmosphere, great weather. Disadvantages: A lack of many modern shops, no beach.

As we drove into Seville our guide told us that we would be visiting the central area of Seville where the Cathedral is situated, amongst other sights. As we disembarked the coach the heat hit us all. It was 39 degrees centigrade and very warm despite being early September.
Instantly we both fell in love with Seville. The area we mainly visited in our brief stay was so full of architecture and history it was interesting and really beautiful. The Cathedral is apparently more impressive outside than in. The outside of this 15th Century Cathedral is very ornate and impressive...
