BLUE BAY GETAWAY & SPA Blvd. Kukulcan Km. 3.5 Zona Hotelera Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico 77500 Tel: (9) 848-7900 Fax: (998) 848-7994 Located in the hotel zone, approximately 25 minutes drive from Cancun airport lies Blue Bay Getaway and Spa, an adults only all-inclusive hotel. Its sister hotel Blue Bay Club allows children and is a short bus or boat ride away - transport between the two is free and is scheduled daily. RECEPTION Upon arrival, bellboys immediately greet you and take your cases into the reception area/lobby where you check in and pick up your room key. We checked in with a lovely man called Jesus (pronounced "Hey-zeus"). Check in was quick and efficient as well as friendly, which you will come to expect from most Mexicans. Once you get your room key, your eager bellboy will escort you to your room, dragging ...

Review of Blue Bay Hotels, Cancun

Capo Bay Hotel, Protaras

Advantages: fantastic 4* hotel
Disadvantages: don't go there in the week that they close!

We have just returned from our honeymoon in Cyprus. We stayed at the Capo Bay Hotel, which stands on the Fig Tree Bay in the resort of Protaras. It is one hours drive from Larnaca Airport. (I will reveiw Protaras as a resort separately. This review is solely on the Capo Bay Hotel). The hotel was fantastic. It is 4star hotel and the service and facilities are great. The Capo Bay hotel has 225 rooms over 4 floors and was built in 1985. It offers a gymnasium with massage and jacuzzi, tennis, scuba diving, pool, 2 swimming pools (1 heated) and 4 different restaurants to eat in, including 1 beside the pool. We paid £1500 for two weeks Bed & Breakfast. This was for an inland view room, but because we were on our honeymoon, we were upgraded to a seaview room. We overlooked the swimming pool and had an excellent view ...

Review of Capo Bay Hotel, Paralimni

Blue Square Hotel- Apparently near, yet so far.

Advantages: Lovely bedrooms, large shower, bar staff friendly, luggage room to leave bags.
Disadvantages: Too far from city centre, transport costs to hotel very dear, area undesirable.

My partner and I recently visited Amsterdam (in late May for 4 nights) and as I was so busy with work, left it up to him to book the hotel and take care of the details. We have been to Amsterdam before and the hotels we usually stay at had no vacancies, so he booked us into the Blue Square Hotel, and proudly showed me the documents he had printed off and the website. "Looks lovely, oh it says it's close to the town centre- within walking distance- can't wait!" was my reaction. Out of the airport we trundled a few weeks later with our cases and got into a waiting taxi. He drove us to the hotel. It took a LONG time. As he was unloading our cases with us he said "This is not a good area for you." I asked him what he meant by that. "Is not a good area and is too far to walk to town, you will have to use trams. Don't pay all the time ...
