We stayed here for one night in April 2007 during a flying visit to NYC. It was a last minute arrangement and we booked through lastminute.com. This hotel had an excellent location. We easily walked to Times Square, Chrysler Building, Bloomingdales etc.. We also walked to China Town, although this was a bit more of a trek. The hotel was very close to an excellent steak house called The Capital Grille - which i would recommend 100% - superbe place to eat, at the Chrysler Building. The hotel staff were excellent, sincere and helpful - I say sincere as this is something i found lacking in most sales people in New York. We had a suite, which had excellent space. 2 queen size beds. As a couple on holiday, we'd normally find this odd, but actually walking around NYC was exhausting, so a comfy bed each was lovely. I have to be honest, the room's furniture and decor needed updating, the sofa had a hole in it, the curtains were a bit shabby. We had just come from Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, 5* luxury to 3* average - not really fair to compare! I would stay here again, it was excellent value for money, good location with a few small bars and diners for morning coffees and bagels. I wouldn't recommend the hotel restaurant, althopugh it appeared to have good press, the staff were rude and the menu lacked any choice. If you want something comfortable, clean and reasonable, give this one a try, you can't go wrong.
