Sheraton Cairo Towers and Casino, Cairo

For me, Cairo is a must when going to Egypt, and we stayed in this hotel for a night when we went over there during our trip in the summer.
The Sheraton was in an ideal location in the centre of Downtown Cairo. Brilliant location. The rooms were quite big, but one thing we did have to do was change ours as the lighting in the bathroom was not good, and was loose. However, they were very accomodating.
Walk out of the hotel and the Nile is not far away. Fantastic at sunset to walk across one of the bridges and take in the atmosphere. The food places are not far away, we went for a McDonalds at 3am within 5 minutes walk.

The hotel itself is quite classy, and I especially took a lioking to the deserts tray at the restaurant downstairs. the food is average to good, but the staff are quite excellent. very friendly and accomodating. There was live entertainmemt when we were there, which was ok (remember that you are in the heart of Cairo!) but i enjoyed the rooftop area.
Here, you can relax with a sheesha (waterpipe), some food, watching some arabic tv or music, and look out onto an awesome view. Definitely the best area of the hotel.

Price wise was reasonable for the standard compared to other horels in Cairo.

Downside is there is no swimming pool. So if you want a swim, this hotel is nt for you.

overall, a recommendation especially due to the location, staff and price, but no pool!! I would consider it again if i went again, unless i could afford a lot more, but if you have a budget to stick to, you will not be disappointed with this place.
