Sheraton Lampung Hotel

Advantages: Close to sea front and central areas
Disadvantages: Traffic, late night noise from discos

...I have stayed in the Sheraton Moriah on a number of visits to Tel-Aviv. Subsidised Hotel rates are available through the Israeli export industry. The hotel is located directly opposite the marina and at the north end of the Tel-Aviv beach. The hotel is in walking distance of a number of bars along the sea-front to the south. It is also 10-15 minutes walking distance of the Dizengoff Centre, Allenby Street and other central locations. The Sheraton Moriah has business facilities located at the top of the building, with panoramic views over the city of Tel-Aviv and out over the Mediterranean Sea. Business facilities includes a free salad/breakfast bar, wireless internet access, free wine and beer. The rooms are clean and tidy and more than adequate. The hotel is aging slightly but I find it a pleasant stay.... Read review

Advantages: Amazing Spa
Disadvantages: Bit pricey for Edinburgh

...The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is located a bit of a walk from the main station and Royal Mile.. It's still facing the castle (Though pretty much every hotel faces the castle as it's up on a hill..!) and if you're lucky you'll be in one of the rooms with a Castle view. The rooms and service is all typical Sheraton, above average, friendly and reliable, but it's the spa that set's it way above any other hotel in Edinburgh.. It's absolutely amazing! Various aromatherapy sessions, sauna's, jacuzzis, steam rooms, outside swimming pool, inside pool, massages... it's absolutely amaing!! But of course at a price.. You do get a discount if you're staying at the hotel, so probably worth it if you're on a special visit to Edinburgh..... Read review

Advantages: Central location just off Princess Street ideal if travelling by train.
Disadvantages: Definately up-market, service can be a bit hit and miss, at bit behind american sheratons.

...Excellent location, try and get one of the rooms at the front on the top floors which have gopd views over Edinburgh Castle especially romantic floodlite one at night. Can be rather a nightmare finding the vehicle entrance at the back of the hotel if the edinburgh one way system gets the better of you at the top end of Princess street. Strange reception area on lowerground floor at back of hotel away from the rest of hotel. Grand open lounge bar area very often full of middle class americans, reasonably price buffet style restuarant. The hotel can seem very quite and inpersonal during the quite winter season. Hotel had major refurbishment a few years back, rooms on top floors at front are spacious.... Read review
