Sheraton Moriah Dead Sea, Neve Zohar

Advantages: Close to sea front and central areas
Disadvantages: Traffic, late night noise from discos

...I have stayed in the Sheraton Moriah on a number of visits to Tel-Aviv. Subsidised Hotel rates are available through the Israeli export industry. The hotel is located directly opposite the marina and at the north end of the Tel-Aviv beach. The hotel is in walking distance of a number of bars along the sea-front to the south. It is also 10-15 minutes walking distance of the Dizengoff Centre, Allenby Street and other central locations. The Sheraton Moriah has business facilities located at the top of the building, with panoramic views over the city of Tel-Aviv and out over the Mediterranean Sea. Business facilities includes a free salad/breakfast bar, wireless internet access, free wine and beer. The rooms are clean and tidy and more than adequate. Advantages: An unusual experience, good for the skin

...~Summary~ The Dead Sea, this was the main reason for my trip to Israel. The healing properties of the waters may be overstated, but you can't go to Israel and not experience mudpacks and swimming in the salty water. The resorts are well equipped with showers, lockers, toilets, restaurant and products to take back home. The actual Dead Sea waters are receding so it is a long walk to the water edge, but there is a land train if you have trouble walking far. The waters are a bit stingy on the skin so I would advise caution if you have sensitive skin. ~Introduction~ The Dead Sea is in Israel and is shared with Jordan. The Dead Sea is renowned for its revitalising properties and products from the Dead Sea area include mud masks, bath salts and other bathing items. Advantages: Float in the Dead Sea
Disadvantages: Have to pay hotel prices as no local shops

...We stayed for 5 days at the Dead Sea resort of the Movenpick which is longer than the average tourist but we wanted to have more time to relax at the end of a hectic tour of Jordan. The hotel is stunning and attracts a large number of tourists from the Middle east and Europe. It has a number of restaurants and some small shops and quite extensive English language library. ( I borrowed Shane Ritchies autobiography!) It has a luxurious spa reasonable well priced and I sampled a Dead Sea Salt rub and massage which was great but not for the faint hearted. I asked for a medium strength massage and I would not have liked to have endured it had I opted for a deep massage. The salt scrub involved lying naked and having salt rubbed into your body and then being wrapped in foli and left to sweat it out. Skin felt great after. My... Read review
