Advantages: Close to sea front and central areas Disadvantages: Traffic, late night noise from discos
...I have stayed in the SheratonMoriah on a number of visits to Tel-Aviv. Subsidised Hotel rates are available through the Israeli export industry. The hotel is located directly opposite the marina and at the north end of the Tel-Aviv beach.
The hotel is in walking distance of a number of bars along the sea-front to the south. It is also 10-15 minutes walking distance of the Dizengoff Centre, Allenby Street and other central locations.
The SheratonMoriah has business facilities located at the top of the building, with panoramic views over the city of Tel-Aviv and out over the Mediterranean Sea. Business facilities includes a free salad/breakfast bar, wireless internet access, free wine and beer.
The rooms are clean and tidy and more than adequate. The hotel is aging slightly but I find it a pleasant stay....

Advantages: Friendly people, superb food, sun! Disadvantages: Risks of bombings
...I have visited Tel-Aviv on business on a number of occasions. Often I spend time at the SheratonMoriah hotel due to preferential rates our company gets through the Israeli Export institute. I advise if you are travelling to Tel-Aviv on business that you make enquiries.
The currency in Israel is the New Israeli Shekel (NIS). The exchange rate at the time of writing this review is 8.2 NIS to £1. Take time to check the online currency exchange page www.xe.com for up to date rates.
The city of Tel-Aviv is located on the eastern shores of the Mediterranean. The city has a great beach which is easily accessible and has a number of bars both on the beach and also set back. I advise that if you visit the city take time to watch the sun set over the Mediterranean in one of the many bars that fringe the sea front.
Many people in the city...

...From a viewpoint of natural beauty, the Sea of Galilee is very promising. But there wasn’t really all that much to see (or did I just miss it.) Tiberias has a few nice archaeological sites and you can rent a bicycle if you want. You could go to Capernaum and other sites related to Jesus’ life. But if you go by yourself you’ll have to wait for the bus and probably walk 4-5 kilometres. And all there is to see is a synagogue. And you can’t even get in there if you’re wearing shorts (a common, if understandable, phenomenon in religious sites in Israel)....
