This hotel is located a very short walk from Knightsbridge tube station on the Piccadilly Line (The dark blue one!!) in the very exclusive area of London known as Knightsbridge, in Lowndes Square.
The fashionable department store "Harvey Nicholls" is located next door and "Harrods" is located approximately 5-minutes walk from the hotel, with a number of other fashionables stores close by, such as Burberry, Zara, United Colours of Benetton, Mulberry, and the likes.

The Sheraton Park Tower is a Luxury Collection Hotel, and the only such hotel in the UK.
For me, I feel that the hotel location is pretty awesome and is to be considered one of the best and most fashionable hotel addresses in London, when you consider what is nearby in terms of fashion houses at least. I wandered around Harvey Nicholls this afternoon, and picked up several garments, as the staff surveyed me wondering whether I was wealthy enough to afford the two pieces of oddly coloured material dangling down from the clothes hanger!
It is also a perfect location for taking a stroll in Hyde Park, visiting Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, or the House of Parliament, along with the Natural History Museum, and Victoria and Albert Museum, which I visited this afternoon.
~~~~~~~~~~ Description: ~~~~~~~~~~
A very traditional styled hotel upon entrance, with Italian marble flooring and use of almost rose coloured oak panelling. The reception desks and concierge are located to the right hand side as you enter, with the bar behind the walls to the left, and the escalators located ahead and slightly left.
The service at the hotel sets itself apart from many others in the same bracket, with friendly and helpful staff employed to take care of your every need, and if they cannot, they will point you in the right direction!
You truly feel that you have entered a different class bracket when you are staying in hotels such as this, and for me I am jumping up the scale big time from my proudly working class routes. I always accentuate my Scouse accent even more when I go to posh places like this, because I can see the scowls on the faces of the up classes, who you can visibly see are obviously wondering how someone of such "common" decent can possibly have infiltrated their upper-class ranks! Tehe …
....I recall being invited to the Henley Royal Regatta approximately 4 years ago, and whilst I was stood sipping Pimms with a group of Dutch people who had invited me, a group of Polo playing public school boys were stood behind me talking a little loudly and over zealously, typically "rar rar rarr!". Of course, I then spoke up in my best Scouse accent amongst the group I was with, with a few of the public school boys shooting quick and rather disgusted looks in my direction. Smiling I tilted my glass towards them, having noticed their rather obvious glances … hahaha … pure magic! You could see them quickly looking away and talking amongst themselves … "how has such a commoner managed to infiltrate our high society event???" ;-p
~~~~~~~~~ Bedrooms: ~~~~~~~~~
If only I could afford to stay here if I wasn't being hosted. The beds were so comfortable and despite the fact I was blinding drunk when I went to bed, it sunk and moulded around me to comfort me and ensure the room didn't spin …. A seriously good night's sleep. The one thing the bed was unable to achieve was to ensure I didn't have a hangover the next day, but I'll forgive it !
There are butler rooms on the 15th-16th floors, where guests receive the special attentions of a personal butler. Wahoooo ! Guests can enjoy an extensive range of services from complimentary champagne on arrival, to packing and unpacking, garment pressing service, and afternoon tea. Sumptuous penthouse suites on the 17th floor offer 360º of luxury and uninterrupted panoramic views of London. The latter is unbelievable … I have seen some fabulous penthouse suites in my time, but this £3k per night suite (don't worry … it does include breakfast … hehe) has breathtaking views of London! I tried to hide so I could get locked in but no chance!!
I stayed in an executive room on the 11th floor, which was more than comfortable and welcoming. The rooms are very modern in design with very soft colouration allowing for a very light and airy feel to the rooms, which has a very calming influence, excellent for any business man after a hard days graft in the city. The rooms have a whole host of amenities from TV, satellite channels, DVD player, broadband internet access, minibar (£4.50 for a beer so not cheap!), tea & coffee making facilities, 24-hour room service, laundry services and a whole host of other amenities.
The toiletries were very luxurious and branded as "Luxury Collection", very fruity to smell and extremely lathery when showering ~ descriptive enough?!
For a standard bedroom, expect to pay upwards of £300 + vat, and although prices will vary according to season, this is a very bus hotel!
There are 4 meeting rooms in total at the hotel, with 3 recently refurbished and re-introduced to the market as a brand new concept, which I love!
The hotel General Manager was influenced by her travels and trekking and has introduced 3 boardrooms modernly decorated with a very unique theme of exploration and includes a number of unique artefacts to decorate the meeting rooms. The meeting rooms are complete with all modern technologies and audio visual requirements, to ensure that any meeting runs smoothly and successfully.
~~~~~~~~~ Restaurants: ~~~~~~~~~
There are 4 restaurants and lounges in the hotel, with the restaurant I dined in for lunch, being the multi award winning fish restaurant "One O One". It has been voted "London's Best Fish Restaurant" by Hardens 2004 and "Best Fish Restaurant" by Square Meal for four consecutive years. The restaurant's signature dish, the seabass encrusted in Brittany rock salt is just one of the delicacies prepared by Executive Chef Pascal Proyart and I can testify is the best damn Sea Bass I have ever eaten. It was incredibly tasty it blew me away, but the restaurant deserves a review in it's own right … when I get time.
There are 3 other food and beverage outlets within the hotel; Knightsbridge lounge for afternoon tea and live entertainment, café one-o-one ~ an outdoor bistro, and the piano bar. The latter is excellent for chilling late at night to the soothing sounds of the pianist but watch out for the bar prices !!
Overall, this is a very exclusive, opulent hotel, full or rich people with nothing better to do than shop at neighbouring Harvey Nicholls or Harrods, as well as rich businessmen … oh, and the occasional Scally larging it up on the perk of his job !! hehe
The service at the hotel is excellent and you can always be assured a smile by the more than attentive staff, no matter what area of the hotel you are in ... from the bars and restaurants, to front of house. The reception staff are very friendly and efficient with both check-in and check-out taking no more than a couple of minutes and concierge are remarkably knowledge and friendly !!
