Guests tend to be tourists, and the reception staff speak a wide array of languages, sadly English is under represented amongst them. They are ... ...they are comfortable enough. No movie channels are included but there is a pay per view option.
I would recommend this hotel for fans of the Sherlock Holmes novels and tourists looking for a mid priced hotel in a good, but not expensive location.

The Sherlock Holmes is wonderfully situated on Baker Street. It is very close to the Baker Street tube station, and within easy walking distance of Madame Tussauds and the London Planetarium. Hilton like to keep it quiet, but this hotel is part of their portfolio, but is not branded as such.
Guests tend to be tourists, and the reception staff speak a wide array of languages, sadly English is under represented amongst them. They are a friendly bunch, if a little inefficient.
Food service is what you would expect from the Hilton National chain, largely cafeteria style food during the day with a slightly more sophisticated selection in the evening. Breakfast is excellent with a self serve buffet including sausage, bacon, black pudding and potatoes along with a continental buffet.
Rooms are on the small side and a lot of space seems to have been wasted, but they are comfortable enough. No movie channels are included but there is a pay per view option.
I would recommend this hotel for fans of the Sherlock Holmes novels and tourists looking for a mid priced hotel in a good, but not expensive location.
