I recently started a Diploma in Canine Massage and in order to start this course, I needed to travel to Devon and attend a workshop. I also needed to take one of my dogs with me so I set out in a mission to find a hotel or B & B that would allow me to have my dog stay with me.
The RiversideInn was recommended to me by the tutor that runs the course (as the course is actually held in their function room) and they also allow dogs to stay in the rooms. So I booked my stay and headed off on my long drive to Devon?
Cost
I booked myself into a single room which cost me £45 a night. This price also included a full English breakfast. As I already mentioned, I had my dog Dax staying with me and I had to pay another £5 per night for him to be in the room.

The cost of my colleagues room was £42. This was a special rate that was negotiated due there being no single rooms available.
The standard rates are as below:
Single Room - £37 per room, per night
Double/Twin Room - £47 per room, per night
Triple Room - From £65 per room, per night
Family Room - From £75 per room, per night. (sleeps four people)
These prices are extremely competitive and are actually cheaper than all of the other hotels that are nearby. These other hotels include a Travel Inn, a Holiday Inn , a Hilton Hotel and the Bristol Hotel, which I think is privately owned. All of these hotels are a within a couple of minutes walk from the Riverside Court Hotel.

Sheffield is a City that has transformed itself in the last decade but one thing that will never change is the fact that it is built around seven hills and five rivers. These rivers include the Sheaf, from where the City derives its name, but also the River Don, which is generally recognised as being the first River in Britain to be used for water power for Industry.
All along the course of the River Don, and the other Rivers is where the Industry that made the City famous established itself. Sadly these days much of that Industry has now gone and these areas are rapidly being flattened and replaced with plush Apartments and Wine Bars.
