...Stepping off the train at Jalandhar station, the first thing the hit me - literally - were the FLIES! No, I was not looking at gentlemen's zips - these were the irritating, little, black, buzzing things swarming around my face from the moment I stood in the train doorway. I was not wearing "Doggy Pooh" aftershave, nor was I chewing anything sweet; this was just Jalandhar railway station. I batted them away from my face, repeatedly, and headed towards the exit. Either the flies followed me, or I just moved from swarm to swarm, but they didn't let up until I left the station and found the chap from the Radisson holding a piece of paper with my name on. ...The ancient Tergeste is now a city of approximately 230,000 residents (about 260,000 within the Province), important port of the Adriatic Sea. It preserves interesting Roman, Medieval and neo-classic monuments and it is an important center for artistic, historical and scientific collections. Among other attractions, here you can also find the famous Castle of Miramare, past residence of Maximilian and Charlotte. And the Gulf, the Carso, the numerous caves, the Rosandra Valley, the Castle of Duino... While staying in Trieste, you can easily visit the famous Lipizzan Stud Farm and Dressage School in Lipiça, as well as the Caves of Postojna and Skocjan, and the Istrian coast-line in nearby Slovenia and Croatia.... Advantages: It's where the PM lives

...Before you get any ideas what I'm on about, I'm talking about Tony Blair's official residance - Downing Street (SW1). Lucky Tony is able to spend his 2nd term in office in 10 Downing Street. Although, with his growing family, he is actually residing in number 11! 10 Downing Street actually stands on what used to be boggy and marshy land. It also stands on the site of what was once a former brewery. Number 10 used to be number 5, and the last private resident of number 10 was no other than a Mr Chicken! In 1735 Sir Robert Walpole moved in, replacing Mr Chicken. Sir Walpole was the first Lords of the Treasury, and was seen - informally - as the first British Prime Minister. Since then, it's been the residence of all past and present PM's. It was Sir George Downing whom origonally gave Downing Street its name. He was a spy... Read review
