I stayed in this hotel last November for 2 weeks and would definitely stay again. It is in an excellent location in the centre of Shinjuku, a fabulous shopping district with wonderful neon at night and you are also very close to Shinjuku station which is great to travel to other parts of the city. The hotel was clean, stylish and the staff were very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything you need including a mini fridge, safe, hairdryer and a TV with Japanese and western channels. The views from the window were wonderful at night where you could see for miles over the Tokyo neon skyline. The room was quite small however this is normal for Tokyo, I have stayed in many hotels here and you only tend to get large rooms in the luxury 5 star hotels. The room is very adequate for a budget traveller who just wants somewhere to sleep, shower and rest. The rooms have recently been refurbished to an excellent standard and are very modern and comfortable. My only criticism is that there wasn't a lot of space to hang clothes.... however this hotel is mainly used for short stays and businessmen who generally just need to hang up a couple of suits. It wasn't a huge issue for us and we managed.... it was worth it for the location and the hotel standard for the price.
There are vending machines on each floor selling beverages, snack items and things like ladies stockings and extra shaving items. It is much cheaper than a mini bar and came in really handy.
High speed internet access was available in rooms for a small fee which was handy, there is also free wireless internet in the cafe in reception.
This hotel has everything you need and we will be staying there again on our next visit in January.
Advantages: Everything you need in one place and excellent location! Disadvantages: none!
the hotel are wonderful!
You should also check out the Restaurants and Gift shops located in the hotel, they are of a high quality and great prices. There is also a bakery and grocery / convenience store inside the hotel.
You could easily stay here for a long time and not have to leave the hotel!
The buffet breakfast is excellent and you have a choice of restaurants that provide both Japanese and Western style breakfasts.
We joined the hotel loyalty card scheme free of charge and we got the buffet breakfast free every day of our stay!
I can't recommend this hotel highly enough, I visit Tokyo regularly just because I adore the city and this is certainly my favourite hotel. If you are on a budget the ShinjukuPrince is also a good choice. ...
