Shopping in Milan can be very funny if you have a lot of money, because for me it's a expensive city...but only walking in Via della Spiga, Via Sant'Andrea, Via Montenapoleone, Via Manzoni, Via Verri it's a pleasure for your eyes.In via Manzoni you can find Armani's mega store with the Noubu restaurant. I liked very much, after a saturday shooping afternoon, go at Noubu's Bar for an aperitvo with my friends. It's so relaxing. Very nice is takeing a breack at Cova, very elegant place in via Montenapoleone, corner with via sant'Andrea Ok, this is the high class shopping zone of Milan, where you can find: Missoni, Prada, Hermes, La Perla, Versace, Gucci, Etro, Armani, Miu Miu, Iceberg, Burrbery, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tod's, Hogan, Kenzo, Brioni, Fratelli Rossetti, La Murrina...and more...and more...and more...BUT VERY IMPORTANT at the end of Via Montenapoleone, close at Via Manzoni, you can find an high class outlet. The prices are very good.
But Milan has not only expensive shops. It you walk in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, From Duomo square stright to San Babila square, you will find Zara, Benetton, H&M and others. Very close the Duomo square, you will find Via Torino. The paradise shopping for the teen agers with Mongo, Pinko ecc. Always in Via Torino, you will find FNAC with good prices in computers, dvd ecc....and don't forget Corso Buenos Aires....but don't go there Saturday afternoon, to much people.
Close at the Duomo, you can find La Rinascente, a kind of Harrod's, but nothing can be like Harrod's. La Rinascente is good for shopping and it close at 10:00 pm. Very nice is take a break at the top with a view on the roof of the Duomo.

Thanks for pointing out the pictures. I always think they add something to a travel review. Milan looks strange in the snow, not what one associates with Italy (though I was once snowed on in Amalfi in April!) Duncan

Fair enough introduction. Somehow, though, I think you mean "expensive" rather than "expansive", which has a rather different meaning. Duncan
