...Until very recently Neasden was, for me, just the name of an underground station on the Jubilee line. Somewhere in the depths of my memory, however, I also knew that there was a Hindu temple there which had attracted much publicity when it first opened in the mid-1990’s. So, when I found myself talking to someone from Neasden I asked her if she had ever visited, and if she would be willing to take me as I was curious and not at all sure what to expect. She was more than happy to oblige.
