Sigmund Freud was a giant amongst modern mankind. Having studied the rudiments of psychology and psychoanalysis in various degrees over the years, the prospect of a visit to the pre-war home of this founder father of psychoanalysis was an opportunity not to be missed. The museum by happy coincidence ... ...We walked to the address stated in the guidebook, 19 Bergasse. There is little to indicate that the terraced house is a museum. The door is closed, I was beginning to wonder if I had made a mistake and we had come to the wrong place when my husband spotted a small notice to the side of the door directing visitors to ring the bell.
