Smooth as Silk

Advantages: Delicious Turkish cuisine. Good portions. Plenty of choice. Superb service.
Disadvantages: Poor choice of desserts. The venue looks a little "tired" from the outside.

The Silk Road Restaurant in Littlehampton (West Sussex) offers a vast range of Turkish dishes with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences. I?d never eaten in a Turkish restaurant before so I was rather keen to try it, and the restaurant came highly recommended by both my brother and my parents, all of whom had enjoyed many a good meal at The Silk Road. On this occasion there were nine of us in the party, spanning three generations, all gathered to celebrate my mother?s birthday. ~~ TURKISH CUISINE ~~ I wasn?t sure what to expect from Turkish food, I suspected it would be rather like Greek food (which I do know and love), but with their own twists and additions. The Taliban in Kabul

Advantages: A powerful story
Disadvantages: Quite traumatic

. Khadra has written two other books, In the Name of God and Wolf Dreams. The story In a war-torn Kabul run by the Taliban, the lives of its citizens are being slowly destroyed, particularly two couples; Mohsen and Zunaira, and Atiq and Musarrat. Mohsen had dreams of becoming a diplomat; Zunaira wanted to become a magistrate, now the two of them are living in poverty. Atiq is a prison guard, who spends his days with those condemned to death; then when he goes home in the evening, he is faced with his wife, Musarrat, who is slowly dying a long painful death. Following a twist of fate, the two couples lives are intertwined. Can the new relationships forged help to save the couples from their seemingly cruel fate? Advantages: SCARY SCI-FI

SILK. This film has some advanced theoretical science in regard to worm holes, electromagnetic waves and Anti gravity. It deals with Japanese scientist, Hashimoto who is the inventor of the 'Menger Sponge'. When used it traps all free energy within a small radius. With it he can walk on ceilings, slow down time and even trap 'Ghosts'. The film starts with the hideous deaths of some residents of a block of apartments. The specialist team is brought in and soon they have a ghost trapped, the ghost of a young boy with a sad and disturbing past. But soon the team start dieing, who is he escaping from the impenetrable room. What is he wordlessly saying? What horrors is he about to inflict on the world? Does the ghost and the Menger sponge hold the secret of immortality? And how will Hashimoto turn it to his advantage ...
