Full review
I am one of those lucky sole who have had the opportunity to travel all over the world. I have been carted about in shoe boxes on wings and been smiled at disdainfully by air host/esses in first class, all through different airlines.

I have travelled by Singapore Airlines (SA) a few times now on long haul flights to Singapore and Australia and am pleased to give the emphatic thumbs up for this airline. Long Haul flights are testing enough for the most well travelled flyer, but consider the amount of stress and tireness that the air host/esses go through. You wouldn't even know that the SA host/esses (OK hosts for the purpose of this post, its a bit naff having to type that constantly!) were even working hard as they take absolutely everything in their stride.

THE PLANES & SEATING
The planes are always new, clean and well-presented. The SA colours are burgandy, gold and green (if I remember corectly) and the decor has a cosy but sophisticated air to it. The seating is much better than most (I'm talking about economy here by the way!) with better leg room and comfy seats with squidgy head rests that you can wrap around your neck. Lets face it, sitting in the same seat for hours without being able to curl up or stretch out is never fun, but the seats on SA planes are some of the best I've placed me bum on. If you request it early you can nab the emergency exit seats and have loads of extra leg room but no where to shove your bag (apart from the overhead jobbies).

ENTERTAINMENT
In the head rest in front of your seat, yes my fellow travellers - this even applies to economy (Halleluja!) - there is an entertainment console. Not only can you watch a choice of about 9 films, 5 sitcoms music channels etc whenever you want - without some berks big head blocking the set (unless you're there with your other half and thay want to snooze on your lap) but you can also play games! I was really chuffed and didn't feel the need to do 20 laps of the plane just to amuse myself as normal. The films are all up to date new releases so chances are you won't have seen most of them yet and its just SOOO fantastic to have your own little viewing space.

FOOD
I don't know why everyone complains about plane food because I think they do a good job considering, but yet again SA surpasses most other airlines here anyway. The food is normally a 'safe' version of destination munch (ie the sauces etc don't surprise you) but you get a nice portion and regular feeding. You can also choose from a couple of options at meal times and even if you don't pre-book your veggie option they still try their damned hardest to get what you want.

AND THE MUCH FABLED LOVELY AIR HOST/ESSES
There is something magical about the air hostesses of SA. I can't comment much on the chaps, although they were equally as helpful, because I was too busy thinking how beautiful and doll-like they ladies were. I'm not admitting to anything perverse here by the way! The uniforms are lovely oriental styled shirts and saraongs which are a far cry from the matronly or downright gross uniforms of other airlines. I remembered instantly a discussion from the film 'What dreams may come' (this will baffle anyone who hasn't seen the film, check it out - its lovely). They smile continuously through the flight, perform regular rounds to check that everyone is OK and go out of their way to make everything as smooth and comfortable as possible.

I honestly don't think I have anything bad to say, their prices are very reasonable too!
