The one Terminal I wanted to stayed at
Review of Singapore - Chang (SIN) by traceyanne121

Advantages: Open virtually all night, with plenty to do, the shopping is fantastic, they have a cinema, a 24 hour minimart, and a floor full of different food halls
Disadvantages: having a night connecting flight, some shops do tend to close

...congested. but try the Sun Flower Garden..it's open air and the views of the flowers agianst the backdrop of planes is very cool. Alas if we had been there longer we could have got the 9:00 am free bus trip around Singapore - But check with information re times. ... Read review

Fantastic Singapore Adventure
Review of Night Safari, Singapore by littlebluelights

Advantages: Family fun, educational, exciting
Disadvantages: Night time only

...my visit to Singapore. The night safari is a wonderful idea, and extremely clever in terms of layout and accessibility. You board a slow moving tram with a tour guide to keep you informed as you glide through the park with wild animals on either side of you. The animals are nicely lit by minimal lighting hiding in trees and bushes, and as its feeding time you get to see them in all their glory, and feel like you're actually with them in the wild. ... Relaxation in the middle of the madness
Review of Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore by blackpuddinonnabike

Advantages: Peace and quiet; No admission fee for main part
Disadvantages: You'll come away with sore feet and tired limbs

Singapore is a city-state full of hustle and bustle, and just occasionally it's nice to wind down from that. The Botanic Gardens, 25 minutes walk, or 5 minutes taxi ride, from one end of the inimitable Orchard Road, is just the place to get that relaxation you need. With free entry into the Gardens a huge area of peace and quiet opens up to you, and it's easy to spend all day there (as we did). Even easier given the fact that they are open from ...
...to rest from the incessant Singapore heat. We had already been in the gardens a couple of hours, and only seen about a quarter of what was on show! A sculpture area provided some added interest, and then there was the National Orchid Garden. You have to pay five Singaporean dollars to get in here, but it's worth it simply for the history surrounding the state's national flower. So many here were named after famous people who have visited the gardens ... Read review

Little India, Singapore - What an experience
Review of Little India, Singapore by KELLYLOUJ

Advantages: Traditional Indian Ingredients, Clothing Stores,Allows you to experience a piece of India
Disadvantages: Pushy sellers, pressurised environment,

...get from my holiday. Little India is a small area of Singapore where the streets have market stalls, small grocers stores and temples, basically it feels like you are in India as you walk around. After studying a tourism map of Singapore I thought it would be great to spend an afternoon walking through little India and learning about their culture. Through the streets were music stores with traditional hand made instruments, and gorgeous clothing ...
...is my only complaint about little india the aromas and items that are for sale are absolutely divine and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to see such a place and should I return, I know exactly what I am in for and how to deal with it a bit better. If you are planning a trip to Singapore Little India is a must and there is so much to see in such a small area, the temples are out of this world and it was a pleasure to be able to visit them ... It is a MUST if you are in Singapore
Review of Orchard Road, Singapore by AdrianTan

Advantages: Has just about anything you need!
Disadvantages: Not knowing where to start from!

...right in the middle of Orchard Road. What else can make a shopping trip to Singapore even more enjoyable? If you do fancy going to gym during your travel, you can either use the hotel's gym (if available) or you can head to California Fitness right along Orchard Road. Did I mention they have everything earlier? If you want to sit down for some coffee and people watch? No problems too, as there are a number of coffee places where you can go to, Starbucks, ...
...at first hand. Oh just in case you don't stay in the Orchard area, you can always get there by their tube (called MRT in Singapore). Three stations serve the stretch of Orchard Road (Orchard, Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut - all along the North-South line). Happy holidays! ... Read review
