How many times have you gone to a zoo and found that most of the animals are asleep because they're nocturnal? If you've ever wondered what the animals get up to when it gets dark that head to Singapore's Night Safari. Located next to Singapore's Zoological Gardens the Night Safari is set in 40 hectares of wilderness and it's fantastic. ...are roughly £6 for adults and £3.50 for children. For about £1.70 extra you can take a tram ride around the zoo which I highly recommend. It opens at 7:30 pm and closes at midnight every day. I went there on Christmas Day 2004 after spending the day at the the zoo. I went in as soon as it opened and the queues weren't too bad. Orchard Road is the Oxford Street of Singapore. This is where you will find all the shopping mall and most of the popular departmental stores. The whole length of Orchard Road is approximately 1 km from end to end. The more popular places along Orchard Road are Takashimaya, Paragon, Tang's, Far East and a few smaller shopping malls. Ahh, my main loves in live, alca-mar-ol, fodder….then SHOPPING and Singapore is my most favourite place to shop in the world (but Manila is hot on it's tail!). The two main shopping strips in Singapore are Scotts Road; these are pretty much our equivalent of say Oxford Street & Bond Street.
