The Swissotel The Stamford hotel in Singapore is the tallest hotel in South East Asia. There are over a 1000 rooms in the hotel. The amenities the hotel offers are quite good. The rooms are spacious and the view from the higher rooms are really amazing. One can either see the other skyscrapers in the city or the harbour from the higher rooms. Holiday Inn Park View Singapore

Advantages: Location, breakfast, pool
Disadvantages: Poor views

Stayed here in March 08 and April 06. The hotel is in a good position just off Orchard Road. However, don't expect any great views as it has buildings on three sides and a freeway on the other. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and a good selection of toiletries including razor and toothbrush. There was a safe in the room and fridge. Ice is available on a couple of floors. A bargain-value all-rounder

Advantages: High quality rooms and facilities, good value for money
Disadvantages: Some way from the main attractions

I stayed here on a short stop-over in early 2005. I chose the Roxy because it was both close to the airport, and the ferry terminal, and as I'd been to Sing a few times before and done the tourist sights, this would be a handy location as I was planning a day trip to Indonesia.
