Three shopping malls are located in the vicinity of the hotel, including Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. You will also take 20 minutes to arrive at the hotel from Changi Airport. The hotel has 778 well-designated rooms and suites, which they themselves, provide extravagant views of the city and habour while 26 meeting venues are open for various kinds ...

The hotel is also well-known for its award-winning restaurants including the Hai Tien Lo's delicate Cantonese cuisines, Keyaki Japanese restaurant for authentic Japanese dishes, Global Kitchen for international gourmet presentations, Brunch for all-day breakfast and light meals and The Atrium for pleasant tapas and beverages. Life Of Luxury if only for a Few Hours

Advantages: Life of Luxury
Disadvantages: Expensive

...tell you we stayed at Raffles Hotel during our visit to Singapore but unfortunately that would be a big fat lie. For me to stay in the fantastic hotel would require a lottery win or other such windfall History Raffles dated back to 1887 and was named after the founder of Singapore Sir Stamford Raffles. The hotel was founded by four Armenian brothers called Sarkies. The hotel was originally just a 10 bedroom colonial bungalow but over the years the ...
...as a Victorian style theatre. Raffles is world renowned be its luxurious accommodation and fabulous restaurants. Sad to say it was just a name to me until the TV programme Tenko which I loved filmed some scenes there. The hotel survived World War 11 and towards the end of the war was used as a transit camp for prisoners of war. In 1987 it was declared a national monument. The hotel closed down in 1989 and reopened after an extensive refurbishment ...

Shangri la Sinapore

Advantages: Beautiful hotel, really friendly staff
Disadvantages: Long walk to the shops

We stayed at the Shangri La hotel for 3 nights in March 2006. I travelled in a party of 5 adults and we shared 2 rooms. We stopped over on our way to Australia as part of a 2 month holiday and we all agreed this was the nicest hotel we stayed in. The hotel was beautiful, set in gardens and has a very grand appearance, with a really nice reception area and bar, and you would expect in Singapore it is very clean. The rooms were really nice with fresh ...
...a large pool with sun loungers which is great as it was very humid in Singapore. The restaurants in the hotel were mixed, we went to the Chinese restaurant on the first night which was nice, but the other restaurants are mainly seafood so the reception staff were really helpful and recommended restaurants and booked taxis for us. The main shopping area is about a 20 min walk, which doesnt sound far but in the humidiity feels like miles, so get ...

A VERY GRAND HYATT!

Advantages: Excellent location/Great Facilities/Very clean
Disadvantages: Grand Club staff a bit serious

**Background** = The Grand Hyatt is situated on Scotts Road. For those of you unfamiliar to SIngapore, this is in the prime zone for shopping. The main shopping street is called Orchard Road and Scotts Road intersects it. Both streets are bustling with people night and day and definitely the busiest place in Singapore. Taxis are usually available outside and the concierge will call one for you if there is a shortage. If you want to ...
...in the area but the Grand Hyatt seemed to fulfil our criteria really well. It was within budget and offered a suite at a decent price. We needed two rooms as we have two babies. Neighbouring hotels seem to charge exorbitant amounts for suites whereas the Grand Hyatt at $490+++ per night was much more reasonable. (160 GBp) **The Hotel** Your first view will be a huge entrance hall which although very impressive seemed to be a waste of ...

Delighting guests every single day. Mandarin Oriental Singapore.

Advantages: Great location. Excellent service that isn't too Singaporean! New rooms with excellent features!
Disadvantages: You will pay for the pleasure!

...keeping up with my Mandarin Oriental exploits then this is the third installment. Today I shall review one of Singapore’s finest five star hotels and let you into the world of Mandarin Oriental Singapore. I have stayed at a variety of hotels in Singapore but none have come as close to the perfect stay that you get at MO. I last stayed here in 2007 when the hotel was just branded as The Oriental, however Mandarin Oriental have since renamed the property ...

As we drove into Singapore he offered lots of top tourist tips for my stay and gave me guidance on the attractions nearby to the hotel.
