We have stayed here a couple of times on airline stopovers, as part of the all-in deal. The hotel's name is due to that fact that it was originally two hotels which they knocked into one, and kept both names. For this reason it is housed in two tall twin towers. It's a big hotel with 580 rooms, and is busy all the time. Everything ran smoothly with our stay, and there was no problem with the room, which was completely normal, comfortable, and unremarkable ...

The hotel has a wide range of facilities as you'd expect, including laundry service, moneychanger, etc. One interesting aspect of the hotel is the swimming pool. It's interesting how your holiday objectives change as times passes. A few years ago my holidays would have been somewhere to go out and party at night, listen to some good rock bands, have some drinks, amaze some beautiful women with my wit and humour, and .. er.. hope! Then I got married and our holidays became somewhere to enjoy culture in the day, beaches and wet bars in the evenings to sup on a cocktail. Now, with two young mini-mees, holidays ...

Oh, and where we can get a large or two-room hotel room so the kids can sleep while we watch TV/DVDs and eat room service. Doesn't it sound idyllic? Stayed here in March 08 and April 06. The hotel is in a good position just off Orchard Road. However, don't expect any great views as it has buildings on three sides and a freeway on the other. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and a good selection of toiletries including razor and toothbrush. There was a safe in the room and fridge. Ice is available on a couple of floors. ...time for with a really extensive selection, although the coffee was not the greatest. Can recommend the Indian restaurant in the basement for a good meal. The roof pool is very good with excellent changing facilities. Unfortunately it poured with rain the time we visited it last! The hotel is convenient for public transport, but taxis are really cheap. ...mean to stay in a Hotel 81 hotel. I was planning to be in transit through Singapore at my own expense for a day or so.I tried three four-star special offers.The first two came back after about 12 hrs to inform me that their hotel was full on the dates in question. The third hotel was also full but offered me a hotel, Hotel 81 Geyland on Lorong 20, which they recommended for a cost of about £20 per night. Time was a bit tight ,but the photo looked ...
...in the year. This hotel is not for seekers of de-luxe accommodation. The rooms are completely basic and quite small. My room had an air-conditioner (which did not cost extra to use), a small bathroom with toilet and shower and a welcome bag with toothbrush and paste etc in it. Stayed at the Pan Pacific in March 2007. We found it extremely comfortable, the staff were very polite and helpful, sometimes hilariously so!. On the day of our arrival, we had only been in the room for about half an hour when a young man knocked on the door. He wanted to check the room, but didn't seem to understand that we had only just arrived. We let him in (it was easier), and he looked around, then went into the bathroom and folded the toilet ...
...The pool area is very pleasant and comfortable. As we lay on our sunbeds, a little maid appeared with complimentary bottles of water and fruit. There were also magazines, clean towels and free sun creams to use. The hotel is connected to the Marina Shopping Mall through a door on the second floor. If you aren't going out in a taxi, then you don't use the front door, it leads on to a service road, very confusing! Food and drink is fairly expensive, ... Read review
