I visited the Fullerton recently for a business stay - its 1 minute from Raffles Plaza, and the best location for the CBD. The first impressions are that it is going to be a really slick 5* hotel with all you would expect in terms of service. Check-in was efficient and they showed me up to the room which was a nice touch. They also remembered me when I returned. The service is certainly friendly and all the staff are polite and accomodating - only ... ...if I had remembered to take things out of the safe!

The Meritus Negara is a stone’s throw from bustling Orchard Road where you can buy anything you could possibly think of. The hotel’s central location also means that it is close to the MRT underground stations and bus stops. Taxis, however, are cheap and there is always one waiting to take you wherever you wish as soon as you step outside the hotel door.

Stayed here in March 08 and April 06. The hotel is in a good position just off Orchard Road. However, don't expect any great views as it has buildings on three sides and a freeway on the other. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and a good selection of toiletries including razor and toothbrush. There was a safe in the room and fridge. Ice is available on a couple of floors.
The rooms are well furnished. The bar adjacent to reception is good and ... ...time for with a really extensive selection, although the coffee was not the greatest.
Can recommend the Indian restaurant in the basement for a good meal. The roof pool is very good with excellent changing facilities. Unfortunately it poured with rain the time we visited it last!
The hotel is convenient for public transport, but taxis are really cheap.

We arrived at The Miramar at 23:00 on our way back to London from Australia. We had pre booked a room for two adults and one seven year old child. Upon arrival we were given a small double to sleep in. The manager was extremely unhelpful and nothing at all would be done without a charge regardless of the fact that our booking displayed our requirements clearly that a roll out bed was required for our son. I stayed here on a short stop-over in early 2005. I chose the Roxy because it was both close to the airport, and the ferry terminal, and as I'd been to Sing a few times before and done the tourist sights, this would be a handy location as I was planning a day trip to Indonesia.
It was wonderful after a long flight to zip straight out of the airport and arrive at the hotel in minutes, being welcomed by a courteous doorman, and entering into a cool, ... ...impressively spotless, with some chic leather sofas and a gaggle of efficient porters and receptionists. The room was equally as welcoming and pristine, and seemed to have been recently furbished. The only downside was the size.
