We propose some unforgettable holidays in "El Capistrano Villages", in Nerja, the privileged balcony of the Costa del Sol. "El Capistrano Villages" is, possibly, the most beautiful and exclusive Urbanisation on the Costa del Sol.
Advantages: A haven for sun worshippers, shoppers, food and wine lovers, lovers and people watchers – excellent food and wine at wicked prices with guaranteed sun and friendly hospitality. Disadvantages: Local drivers eat British cars for breakfast - so hire your car locally, we're glad we did.
The picturesque town of Sitges is a resort of mixed moods. One moment you're relaxing on a tranquil sun-soaked beach soothed by foaming waves - five minutes later you could be enjoying a refreshing drink in a vibrant themed bar or club or tucking into a steak or more traditional fare in a sophisticated restaurant - at very unsophisticated prices.

Travelling off-season meant very cheap flights: Would you believe EasyJet Luton to Barcelona return for £70 each? Accommodation was also great value for money at £350 for two weeks with Eurohomes.

When you are strolling along the promenade, admiring the seascape and drooling over the menus outside the upmarket hotels and eating places, it is hard to believe that just around the corner are seemingly hundreds more bars, clubs and restaurants offering great quality produce, service and hospitality - and at very reasonable prices.
Narrow streets radiating uphill from the beach are where you find these hospitable gems (en route to the main and very comprehensive shopping area). Most restaurants offer a good selection of set menus which are fantastic value for money - How does a 3-course meal for less than a fiver each sound?
It was my fiftieth birthday and I wanted to buy a memorable souvenir, preferably in gold - but the prices and quality did nothing for me - and I was very open to temptation. I eventually settled on a beautifully designed Swiss watch to remind me of Spain - as if time is ever a factor in Spanish life - but I love my watch anyway.
Although bargains are few and far between, in fashion and jewellery, leather goods are great quality and value for money -and there are so many shops - it's a window-shoppers' paradise.
The town seems to bring out the romance in young and old alike - if you're not too wearied after hiking up and down the steeply sloping streets. Couples stroll hand in hand everywhere - men and women, girls and boys, girls and girls and boys and boys - I did begin to wonder, however, as I became more footsore, if it was always love or merely mutual assistance in climbing up to the next bar?

We didn't actually stay in Sitges, but 9km away in a mobile home situated amidst palm trees on a hillside overlooking Vilanova, another delightful coastal town, a mere 30 minute drive from the vibrant city of Barcelona - but that's another story. . .
Advantages: Beautiful Personal Seaside town Disadvantages: Can't think of any
...town of Sitges. Sitges is around 40km outside of Barcelona down the cost. The costal road to it is beautiful, you drive along the cliffs looking out over the blue sea, passing yacht and boat stations along the way. It was easy to drive into Barcelona as you only have to comprimise around 5 spanish roads. Once your their it's easy to park at Port Vell.

There is very personal touch to the way they operate their restaurants along the beach. The food is outstandind as well as the prices.
But behind the beach front and seaside restaurants there is a much larger community of shops and bars and even more restaurants. The small streets spanning through the centre of Sitges offer a huge shopping experiance, you could ...

Sitges is a beautiful place to go on holiday, It is frequented by a large gay following, gay couples roam around the streets holding hands and are able to enjoy there holiday with out the risk of abuse or volience, over the past several years i have noticed sitges getting more busier and easier to access via either Reus or Barcelona Airports, It is ideal as a weekend get away as the flights from the Uk are quick and cheaply priced. The cost of eatting ... ...a different aray of offerings, Sitges is now becoming more popular as a lesbian destination. Sitges nightlife normally starts winding down between 3am and 4am. There are lovely boutiques for shopping so take some extra Euros, most of better resturants require reservations 24 hours in advance so it is best to book to avoid disappointment. There are plenty of exhibitions and places of interest to visit, thumbs up as a good holiday overall. Not recommended ...

Sitges was a popular tourist resort through the 60s-70s, that was when many families visited Spain for the first time. Since then, this small town situated 36 km south of Barcelona hasn't changed that much. It has preserved its historical areas and although more buildings have been built it still remains small. This town has got that sort of charm that makes visitors return every year. The average temperature in winter is 5 C - 6 C and during the ...
