When I called Sixt car rental in Battersea, London asking if it would be ok to keep the car an extra day, I was told no problem. I was even told that they would sort it out with their head office so that I would keep the spacial rates.
When I returned the car, I asked to see the final cost (yes you have to ask for it). My extra day cost me over twice the initial daily rate, and no one mentioned on the phone either that there is an extra £10 for late return. This is basically the same as if I hadn't bother to call them to ask for an extension at all.
I have called the Battersea office and the head office, also sent emails, but no one has come back... Very dodgy!
