Skiathos (Greece)

Skiathos is a beautiful, fairly secluded island, far north compared to most greek islands. It is meant to have one of teh best beaches in Europe, named Koukinares (dont know about the spelling!) me and my family went in September and it was fairly busy but i wouldny say it was the nicest beach in europe. We came here for a sunbathing holidayand for most of teh first few days it just rained, this was even more ironic seeing as it was sunny at home in England! Although we did get a bit of sun in the last few days, which was very pleasant.
ATTRACTIONS
There is plenty to do, even in the latter part of the season, we went on an enjoyable boat trip around nearby islands in a pleasant fishing boat.
WALKING
The island is very hilly but excellent for walking, especially if you want to tone up those thighs!
SHOPPING
The shopping was mediocre, some souvenir shops etc.
FOOD
This mainly consists of freshly caught seafood, which was very tasty, there is very little else to eat on this island though! good if you like seafood, not so good if you dont!
Overall its is abeautiful island worth a visit in the peak months as it is a bit quiet later on.
