I recently visited Skirmish Paintball Nottingham with a group of mates from University for a birthday (after seeing their website www.skirmishpaintballgames.co.uk) and it was an awesome day. I've only played paintball a couple of times before and it has to have been the best site I've visited. What impressed me was the level of organisation that put it head over heels above a lot of other sites out there that are usually just a shed in a field. Skirmish Paintball really has their act together with a large sheltered base camp and experienced staff. I can't remember their names but the marshals we had for the day were brilliant, they were funny and above all else really looked after our needs. I'm sure alot of you have heard about paintball being a bit dangerous (PJ and Duncan anyone?) but at Skirmish not once did I feel in danger. As long as you do what's asked of you and keep your goggles on while playing you'll be sweet and having great fun!
The paintball games themselves were great fun, I particularly enjoyed a game that we played on the castle field. They have built a bloody great fort in the middle of the woods like 20 foot high or something and was a blast to play in and around. There are loads of different games and they are all a hell of a lot more interesting than other paintball sites I've been to. One thing I've noticed in the past is that the best days paintball normally comes down to the quality of equipment, the support of the staff and the nature of the games you play. Skirmish scores really highly on all of these factors and I can't wait to go again.

I did not find this review helpful as it read like another advert by Skirmish for Skirmish! Giving the telephone number and website is only really necessary in an advert. What I am looking for is a real review - with pluses and minuses clearly expressed.

A happy review that I'm sure will help folk considering going to skirmish to play paintball. It's an organisation I certainly enjoy and feel is great value for money. ;-)
