Advantages: Location for Goose Fair or Polish Club Disadvantages: Dide entrance for Wheel Chairs, makes them feel 2nd class.
We had a Family Birthday to attend, Russ's 50th.
The idea was that Katherine was organising Russ's 50th but did not let on to him who and how many were attending.
So some of the Family were coming up from Peterborough and would need accomadation.
The function was being held at The Polish Club on Sherwood Rise Nottingham. So i went onto www.hotelscomparison.com to look for hotels.
When THE PARKINN came up there could only be one choice as this was about a two min stroll from the Polish Club.
The site I booked thru was BOOKING.COM.
Prices were £67 for a Double Room with Breakfast.
Double Room only £41.25 (Non refundable)
Had a chat with those coming, said not too botherered about Breakfast as we would prob have an early Sunday lunch before they started back.

Firstly, there are the new style bars which have the charisma of airport departure lounges where under age girls and rather camp 18 year old 'hard nuts' pose, sip their hooch and check their mobile phones before scrapping in the street, egged on by little ponces shouting 'innit'. The second type are more traditional fare, with a little more atmosphere and where you can learn who the hardest man in Bedford is this week. There are now two lap dancing bars if that is to your liking, but although I have not sampled these myself (not because I am a prude but because I know they will be crap), I have heard you can pay a small fortune for a Nora Batty lookalike to dance (with no enthusiam) just for you. If you pay extra she'll even take care not to spill ash on you as she gyrates with the grace of an obese, chain smoking ...

Bedford hit the National headlines recently, with that horrific photograph of the bodies in the Hospital Chapel. The story ran all week and the Spotlight was most definitely turned on the historic County Town – for all the wrong reasons.
But Bedford isn’t all bad – honest!
It has become and extremely cosmopolitan town with a large Italian community as well as areas like Queens Park, where Asian and West Indian ethnicities dominate. Add to this a Polish and Slav ‘enclave’ and a number of both Greek and Turkish Cypriots, you can see that modern day Bedford definitely has an international flavour to it.
