Snowdonia for a long time has been an area of awe-inspiring beauty, visited by thousands each year. For many years climbers have been drawn to the rock faces where although a lot of the rock climbs aren’t rated that difficult they are all very unprotected so that it makes them a lot more ‘interesting’. However there isn’t just walking and climbing in Snowdonia, you can also spend your time canoeing, although getting a lesson would probably be preferred if you are a beginner.
I went to Snowdonia a couple of years ago and for the first time I tried my hand at white water rafting, this is a must for people who are looking for an activity holiday in Snowdonia. It’s extremely good value for money and there are more then one place in Snowdonia that you can do this. You share a boat with about 6 other people and working as a team you are launched down the runs with a qualified instructor sitting with you. It is a definite adrenaline rush and although it’s over quickly you do more then one run.
