Advantages: Lots to see, plenty of places to visit, fantastic restaurants Disadvantages: Can be expensive to travel over and stay at peak times
...the children get fed up.
Wheelchairs are also available for hire should they be required.
**Summary**
Woodbury Common is a must for shopper holics and cannot recommend it enough, a whole day of shopping and I came back with so many bargains, yet New York itself I saw hardly anything as low in price even at the sale in Macy's.
The queues are organised and there is hardly any waiting time as there are so many tills operating you whizz through.
There are a great deal of bargains and is by far one of the best places that I have ever been too.
Buses run frequently form the Port Authority to Woodbury Common so you never need worry about missing the bus home.
SoHo and TriBECA
Literally translated means "South of Houston" and is the coolest place in New York according to the locals. Cutting edge fashion can be found here including Prada's Flagship...

...will tell you: I’ve never seen Manhattan from the window of a helicopter. But I will next time. And I’ll do much more. I’ll listen to jazz at Greenwich Village. Go to SoHo. I’ll take the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty (haven’t come close yet). I will eat dinner somewhere in The Little Italy and stay longer in China Town. When I was very young, my mother told me that if you throw a coin into a fountain in some city, it means you will return there some day. I left half my coins in all the New York fountains I could encounter. Quite a silly way of spending your money I reckon, but I hope my mother was right…

Advantages: All you can think of Disadvantages: May be a bit overwhelming
...to have a more anti-style than conventional style - we have Camden Town, they have Greenwich Village and SoHo. The type of shops are very similar, but the type of people there are a world apart.
Camden has goths, punks, rockers, indie-kids, tourists. Greenwich Village has a lot of stylishly-dressed people frequenting a lot of coffee shops and jazz bars.
It would be impossible to go into all the things you can see and do in NewYork, but I'll give you a little selection of the things I've done which I would recommend to others:
Empire State Building - well you have to really after Sleepless in Seattle.
Rainbow Room restaurant - can see the Empire state building from here. It's in the Rockerfeller Centre. In Sleepless in Seattle this is where she is having the drinks with her fiance. Very nice bar/restaurant, but it's a bit pricey!

Advantages: Good for shopping Disadvantages: strange people...
...New York can be a scary place if you don't know what you are doing...
New York is probably most famous for its sky line buildings and the statue of Libety.
New York is also the setting for the very popular t.v fit series F.R.I.E.N.D.S...
I've only been to New York once and I loved it... it's great for shopping and stuff.
I went to Central Park, it was ok, not what I expected though...
Still I like NewYork, and if you are in America you should visit NewYork...
But people always told me to stay away from alleys and stuff, just incase!...

If you want to stay in Central New York then this is the hotel to book. It is actually IN Times Square! It's a huge modern hotel with over 45 floors so some of the views are great. There is a bar at the top which is a lovely place to have a drink,... more
The New Yorker is in an excellent midtown location with the subway (lines A, C & E) literally steps outside. Being on the corner of 8th Avenue and 34th Street this meant good access to Macy's, Empire State Building, Madison Square Gardens and the... more
Postmodernism, eh? It's a funny old bag of fish. Even the holier-than-thou critics don't quite seem to know what it's all about. They argue whether it's
a) a revolt against modernism,
b) a progression of modernism,
c) both of these and more
or d) more
