Advantages: Can't hear the planes, right at the airport Disadvantages: Bit of a trek into the Windy City...
Back in June I needed a hotel in Chicago for a single Saturday night before flying back from ChicagoO'Hare Airport to London Heathrow late Sunday evening. I didn't fancy dragging heavy luggage and shopping all the way into the Windy City just for one night (which can take about 40-60 minutes from ChicagoO'Hare Airport, read on for more info on this...) and then back out again to the airport the next day, so I decided to consider hotels near ChicagoO'Hare Airport. A quick search on Google suggested that the Chicago Hilton O'Hare Airport Hotel might be my best bet: http://www1.hilton.com/enUS/hi/hotel/CHIOHHH-Hilton-Chicago-O-Hare-Airport -Illinois/index.do - it is the only hotel physically linked to the airport building.
As I've mentioned in my other Hilton review so far, I am a member of the HiltonHonors club, which is free ...
Advantages: plenty of food choices/shops, connect to lots of places Disadvantages: delays in the winter
As a frequent traveller, I find myself connecting through ChicagoO'Hare (ORD) at least once a year, and it has become my preferred airport to connect in.
The airport is located in Rosemont, IL, 18 miles from the city of Chicago. By car it is approximately a half-hour drive, and there are also bus and rail links which run to Chicago and neighbouring counties. If you are going to Chicago to stay rather than connect you might want to use Midway Airport as it's closer to the city, although is likely to be a more expensive option.
Upon arrival at the airport from the UK, you must obviously first clear immigration. In my experience Chicago is by far the fastest I have experienced in this respect, usually getting through to baggage claim in as little as 15-30 minutes. I have never waited longer than 45 minutes at this airport even if ...
Advantages: The contrasting architecture. Music. Relaxing Parks. Disadvantages: Parking fees. Rush Hour.
Navy began to use the pier for training purposes.. Today, the pier is a massive tourist attraction housing among other things a children's Museum, A Museum of Stained Glass Windows, a Shakespeare Theatre Complex and a giant Ferris wheel.

~~P is for Parking~~
Parking in Chicago is same for any major city - extremely difficult!! Parking can cost anything from $7 - $17 for 1- 4 hours and between $15 and $24 for 5 - 24 hours!
If you're visiting more than one venue - it gets very expensive!!
~~Q is for Queue~~
The only queue we ...
