Stop then in a pagoda at the side of the lake Da Nhim after having wiped a big downpour and where I could appreciate the simple plastic but efficient protecting me from rain lented by the boss of the hotel.
Return on Dalat, visit of the summer residence of Bao Dai, last emperor of the country while taking the care beforehand to thread the on shoes, I could sit myself with the driver's complicity in the emperor's office and could make photograph me.
Passage then to visit the convent of Marie's Domain, beautiful pink building to the roofs of tiles with its pretty religious central garden .The nun acts here in favor of the orphan disabled and homeless.
End of the course visiting the Hnang Nga crasy house , the mad queer building

Advantages: beautiful scenery and atmostphere Disadvantages: need some local people as a guide
...If Ho Chi Minh is a new ,energetic with lots of people and the life seems to go on a bit fast, Dalat is completely different .Peaceful, romantic is what Dalat actually is.
= How to?? and the weather=
Located in Lamdong province, Dalat is just about 300 km away from Ho Chi Minh city, which usualy takes 4 hours to get there. If it's misty, you may have to spend some more time on the bus, but , in fact that's what the tourists usually like. Especialy in summer , when almost all other region is Viet Nam is fairly hot(from 30 to 35*C and even 40*C), Dalat's temperature is just about 15-20*C . Therefore, if you got used to Vietnam weather already, bring some warm clothes. It might be helpful. Moreover, the bus fee is 7$ , so cheap, isn't it?

Advantages: Cooler climate, great for guides. Disadvantages: Not much to do there
...Dalat is a mountain city where the Vietnamese go for a holiday. Set in the middle of the coffee plantations the city reminded me more of a ski resort than an asian city as most vietnamese people were walking round in jackets and bobble hats as the air is cooler in the mountains.
Of course, it makes a refreshing change of climate for westerners. We could still walk around in shorts and T-shirt as their cold is our hot summer evening.
The only night life recommendation I would make is to go to a bar called Saigon Nite. This is run by a local man and his daughter, Tan, serves behind the bar. They were the nicest people we met in a month in Vietnam.Tan also spoke near perfect English which made a change after 3 weeks of hand actions and speaking slowly.
I advise spending at least a day of your holiday there.
Its well worth hiring...
